Big Bin Event @ Day Spring Church
Time to clear out the garage, basement, and backyard! The Royal Gardens Community League is partnering with Greenfield Community League to host a Big Bin Event to help local residents responsibly dispose of unwanted items that are too large for regular waste collection.
Whether you are finishing up spring cleaning or tackling a renovation project, bring your acceptable items down and let us help you declutter.

Date: Saturday, June 13
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Day Spring Church (11445 40 Ave NW, Edmonton)
Eligibility: Free for RGCL & GCL members.
🚛 What You Can & Cannot Bring
To ensure everything runs smoothly and safely, please review what our bins can accommodate before you load up:
👍 What's Accepted
* Large household items
* Furniture
* Yard waste
*Small Electronics (for recycling)
*Donations for Find Edmonton
👎 What's NOT Accepted
* NO MATTRESSES
* Unreasonable loads
* Hazardous waste
⚠️ Important Note on Capacity: The disposal of exceptionally large items or unreasonable loads will be strictly subject to the discretion of our community league volunteers.
🧑🤝🧑 Important Guidelines for Attendees
Bring Extra Muscle: You are entirely responsible for unloading your own vehicle. Please bring a friend or family member to help you lift heavy items, as our volunteers are on-site to manage the bins, not to act as a moving crew.
Have Membership Info Ready: Please ensure your Royal Gardens Community League or partner community league membership is active and ready to show upon arrival.

Get ready to discover your inner elf! Join us for a free family screening of the holiday classic, Elf (2003, Family/Comedy, PG). This is the perfect family-friendly event to kick off the holiday season!

What to Expect:
Free Popcorn! Each attendee will receive a free bag of popcorn to enjoy during the movie.
Concession Available: A cash concession will be open offering additional snacks and refreshments for purchase.
Please Note: This is a family-friendly event. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Royal Gardens Infill Information Session
Edmonton’s new zoning bylaw (20001) now allows up to 8 dwelling units per residential lot—and the first multiplex in Royal Gardens has already been approved on 117 Street.
This session is your chance to:
✅ Learn what kinds of infill projects can be built in Royal Gardens
✅ Understand how changes affect parking, green space, property values, and neighbourhood character
✅ Discover what you can do to have a voice in shaping development
Whether you’re concerned about tree canopy loss, parking congestion, or simply want to know what’s coming, join your neighbours to stay informed and engaged.
