Join the Secret LongTree Society — and plant the future.

The Secret Long Tree Society and the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL) invite you to a powerful, hands-on evening that blends storytelling and legacy building. This unique event will feature a screening of the CBC documentary The Secret LongTree Society, followed by a live tree nursery installation and planting ceremony at the Royal Gardens Community League.

 What to Expect

  •  Watch the CBC documentary The Secret LongTree Society (runtime: 45 min)

  • Learn how your Community League can grow a LongTree nursery for the future.

  • Install a LongTree nursery and plant bristlecone pine (Pinus aristata) — one of the world’s longest-living tree species

  • Connect with neighbours, league members, and changemakers passionate about climate resilience and urban greening

This event is free and open to the public, especially:

  • Community League members across Edmonton

  • Urban sustainability advocates

  • Tree lovers, educators, and legacy dreamers
